MTS - DIY Clutch Bag (Do It Yourself)

There is a miss conception that most socialites don't do anything themselves. I am sure that is wrong. Everyone needs a little DIY here and there. So i will show you exactly how to spruce up an old vintage purse into a modern jewel! If your like me and you don't like to pay a billion dollars for a cute clutch to wear to a party, this will be your saving grace. After all clutches get pretty trashed by the end of the night. Mine are usually covered in sticky drinks and full of excess nothings.

Here's what you'll need:

1. An old or used clutch
2. A hot glue gun
3. Scissors
4. A brooch, button or something decorative

Step 1 :
Use your scissors to get close to the seam of the handle and then cut off one side. Be sure to do this step carefully because you do not want to damage the purse itself.
**Determine what hand you will be carrying this purse with the most. For example : if you are going to carry it with your right hand then cut off the right side of the handle.

Step 2:
Take the handle , measure it to your wrist. Be sure to leave space so that you can comfortably slip your hand in and out. Then cut the handle to your proper wrist length.
Step 3: Take the shortened handle and round it into a bangle shape. Then use your hot glue gun to glue the ends together. Hold tightly and wait for the glue to dry. This will be your wrist slot.
Step 4: Take your button (or whatever) and glue it onto the middle of the clutch using your hot glue gun. Hold tightly and wait for the glue to dry.
Step 5: Your finished! Take your new clutch out for a spin at a party! When the paparazzi ask you where you got it from, tell them you made it!
